Spicer Rudstrom’s Managing Partner, Marc O. Dedman, was among a group of panelists at this week’s Housing Authority Defense Attorneys (HADA) annual seminar, which addressed risk control issues. The panel discussion covered best practices for housing authorities in responding to claims and potential claims. Specific topics included terms of evidence preservation, media and crisis communications, HR issues and public record requests.
The group of attorneys involved in HADA performs defense work for HAI Group, which is comprised of 12 companies that serve the public and affordable housing community with special, niche insurance programs as well as other value-added products and services. Other HADA members from Spicer Rudstrom are Christopher M. Myatt, Gary M. Kellar, Robert J. Uhorchuk and Clinton J. Woodfin.
The annual seminar was held September 20 and 21 in Manchester Village, Vt.
