Attorney Lance W. Thompson
Lance is an associate attorney with Spicer Rudstrom, PLLC. He works in the firm’s Nashville office as the lead attorney for research and writing, including dispositive motions and pretrial motions with an emphasis on appellate briefs for all of the firm’s attorneys. He works with American and international companies, providing them with in-depth analysis of often very convoluted issues arising under Tennessee law and surrounding jurisdictions.
Determined to make a difference in people’s lives, Lance decided to pursue a career in law. He enjoys researching the intricate details of cases and writing motions that either lead to dismissal or negotiation of lower settlements, which benefit his clients. Such motions have led to dismissing multi-million dollar cases.
Lance obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and his Juris Doctorate from the Nashville School of Law. He is a member of the Nashville Bar Association. He is also a member of Primerus, which has allowed him to provide in-depth legal research in regards to Tennessee law for product liability and other various areas.
Outside of law, Lance enjoys hiking and backpacking. He recently hiked down the Grand Canyon and the canyons in the back country of Zion National Park. Lance is also a songwriter and plays guitar, which he has been doing since the sixth grade. He has played at the Bluebird Café, a venue featured on the TV show Nashville because of its significance in helping many musicians get their start in country music.
