Attorney Kevin D. Bernstein
Kevin is a Member of Spicer Rudstrom’s Board of Directors and a partner in the firm’s Memphis office. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from Memphis State University in 1988. As part of his undergraduate studies, Kevin edited the Memphis State Review and co-founded the literary magazine Seven Sleeper Review. After college, Kevin served as a juror on two high-profile cases in Boston. One was a six-week sexual harassment suit, and the other was an armed robbery/assault case, which allowed him to see the ins and outs of the litigation process. He found it to be so interesting he decided to attend law school.
Kevin obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in 1997. His practice areas include tort liability defense, including catastrophic personal cases, trucking and transportation cases, construction defect litigation, along with complex litigation and workers’ compensation litigation. He is the Chair of the firm’s Construction, Construction Defect and Real Estate Litigation practice. He has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Kevin has two sons, Eli and Benjamin, and loves to coach their sports’ teams. He is active in the community, at Beth Sholom Synagogue and serving on the board of Bornblum Solomon Schechter Day School.
